Pick a read-aloud voice

Six candidates reading the same thing. Listen on your phone if you can — that's where members will hear it.

The script — your week 5 oatmeal intro “I keep this one in rotation for busy mornings. The coconut and dried berries make it taste like something you would order out, and the oats do the quiet work — steady fuel that does not leave you hungry an hour later.”

Sulafat

warmfemale

The closest to a friend at the kitchen table.

Gacrux

maturefemale

Older-sounding. Speaks to your members as a peer rather than to them.

Vindemiatrix

gentlefemale

Softest of the six. Calm, unhurried.

Achird

friendlymale

Approachable male voice — the natural fit if the “I” should read as you.

Charon

informativemale

More authoritative. Might suit the research backgrounders better than the recipes.

Umbriel

easy-goingmale

Relaxed and conversational.

Worth knowing before you pick

You could use two. A warmer voice for the recipes and a steadier one for the research backgrounders is a reasonable split — it costs nothing extra.

These are WAV files, ~650KB each. The real build would ship smaller MP3s; these are raw so you're judging the voice, not the compression.

Nothing is committed. Picking one is a one-line change, and re-generating all 26 clips takes a couple of minutes.
